Mansell to secure 381 jobs for Rok employees

Mansell, the subsidiary of Bealfour Beatty which is buying part of the failed building firm Rok, has confirmed through Rok’s administrators PwC,  that 381 employees will remain in their positions.

Jeremy Webb, director and joint administrator, PwC said: “We are delighted that we have been able to secure a sale of part of the business hence preserving employment for 381 people. This is tinged with disappointment that there was not sufficient interest in the other parts and hence the redundancies that have been made today.”

The transations will result in a number of redundancies reported to amount to 235, with various locations  being affected by the losses. The Socila Housing business in Leeds and the Constrcution businesses in Exeter, Reading, Bristol and Crawley will be affected.
